Week 11
Money for food for the week!!! Blessings.....
I saw something floating in the water.... I had to get it! IT was a $50 dollar bill ;)
There once was a man that lived in a park.......
there is a man in my ward named Tom. Long ago, Tom lived in a park off Cannula beach. Tom was the main man, everyone that was homeless with him looked up to him. He was a drinker, drug user, but a super friendly guy. One day someone came up to him and gave him a key to a single apartment, Tom told them, "i am happy where i am? i don't need a house?" but he took the key anyway. The only condition that the people gave him is he could not bring anyone with him, he was to live there alone. But that not Tom, he opened that room up to all the people that he lived with in that park, and then another miracle came, they gave him a bigger house!!! There was many others that moved in to the "bigger" house with him. One day when he was talking to one of his friends about different churches, then there was a knock on the door and guess who it was? The missionary's, He let them in and now that "man" Tom is my ward mission leader, that friend that he was talking to that day, followed his friends example and also joined the church. I share this story with you to show the power of simple things. This all started with one simple act of kindness, followed by a chain of wonderful blessings. The Lord knows what he is doing, he is always there for us and he will never leave us. I am so grateful to have such a great ward mission leader to work with and know of his powerful influence on others. I know this church is true, there is not a second in my day where I think other wise. I know that this gospel is for everyone does not matter if you are small or tall, orange or black, skinny or fat, happy or sad!!! I love my Father in Heaven and know he gave us this great gospel so we can feel of his love. I love you all so much!
