Week 6

Image
Well, this week went by kind of slow! We had a zone conference on Tuesday then the rest of the week we did lots of finding and knocking! this Friday I did get the opportunity to go with my comp to a funeral in one of his old wards. the tongan people are the most loving and caring people in the world I swear!! I love the ward and the people of Australia. yes my mission is full of rejection and appointments falling through, but for some odd reason I love it and I didn't really know why until yesterday when I read a talk that said " forget yourself and go to work" that is why getting rejected is so easy to me because I have lost myself in the work and I know why I am here. I am here to find and help people come unto Christ. I know this church is true with out a doubt in my mind. and I am going to keep working my butt off till I find those that are ready to hear of this great gospel. I love you all!!    El...

Week 3

Image
(We made sweet ties out of paper towels) Yes, Week three update! I am so ready to get to Australia! Monday cannot come any faster...... Everything seems to be going by so fast and it's kind of sad because I've made such good friends here in the MTC.  This week we got the chance to teach a man named Don.  Elder Kaas and I got the impression that we needed to teach about The Book of Mormon.  If you guys get the chance,  listen to the conference talk given by, Thomas S Monson about The Book of Mormon in the last conference.... do it!!!! We were told by some of our teachers that this could be his last talk.  So knowing that, what does our Prophet decide to speak on?   He speaks on The Book of Mormon and it's importance in our lives.!!  He could've spoken on anything he wanted too or made it all about him, but he didn't. He spoke of the truth of The Book of Mormon.  As we shared this with Don, you could see him feel the spirit an...
