Week 19

Looks like fire in the sky... absolutely gorgeous!    I came across this poem, and it has struck me strongly.   ’Twas battered and scared, and the auctioneer  Thought it scarcely worth his while  To waste much time on the old violin,  But held it up with a smile:  “What am I bidden, good folks,” he cried,  “Who’ll start the bidding for me?”  “A dollar, a dollar”; then, “Two!” “Only two?  Two dollars, and who’ll make it three?  Three dollars, once; three dollars, twice;  Going for three—” But no,  From the room, far back, a gray-haired man  Came forward and picked up the bow;  Then, wiping the dust from the old violin,  And tightening the loose strings,  He played a melody pure and sweet  As a caroling angel sings.  The music ceased, and the auctioneer,  With a voice that was quiet and low,  Said, “What am I bid for the old violin?”  ...

LIGHT THE WORLD MATE!   I want to start off this week by thanking my amazing mom for all the time she puts in to making this blog for me!!!!  OK, so this week has been packed to the top with service!!!! in like 100+ degree weather! No no, don't get me wrong, I am not complaining! You want to know why?? Because of Mosiah 2: 17 that's why!! It says,    17 And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn  a wisdom ; that ye may learn that when ye are in the  b service  of your  c fellow  beings ye are only in the service of your God. I absolutely love giving service to others! That's one of the best things about the mission.... we give all our 2 years to love and serve others. So I want to ask something of you, its soooo simple anyone can do it! Couple of weeks ago, I challenged everyone to do a random act of kindness in order to ease someone's burdens. Well guess what.. I am challenging you all again!!!! We as h...

Hey everyone, its Elder Wagner coming to you all the way from the wonderful country of Australia! Well of course you all know that it is the Christmas season, and if you don't yet well it is. Do you know what Christmas is all about?? No it is not all about presents or the bomb food. To me Christmas is a time to be together with family, to serve others, but most importantly to remember our dear Saviors birth. This is a time where we need to stop and think to ourselves, "Do you have room for the Savior?" or how "Do i fit the savior in my everyday life?"   When I was a small boy my dad would always sing the song,"Do you have room for the Savior" every time he would be washing the dishes he would put the CD in and belt out that song. I never really paid much attention too it until about 2 days ago where I heard the same song again.  It made me think back to the good old days haha! but also about how much I have changed, because I have made room for ...

We had a great day at the temple!  Hey Mates, what is up?? This week has been so awesome!! I was made District Leader this transfer, I am in charge of teaching the other missionaries once a week and making sure everyone has what they need in our district.  I also had the opportunity to go to the temple with the youth this last Saturday and holy crap it was awesome!! I love going to the temple, the feelings I have inside are absolutely amazing! I was thinking today about the importance of the temple in our lives. In the temple we are able to do things we can’t anywhere else in the world!! The spirit in the temple is the same anywhere in the world. I felt the spirit the same way allllll the way over here in Australia as I do in the temple back home. The gospel does not change, even when you are on the other side of the world it still is the same! Isn’t that awesome?? I know with that my Heavenly Father loves each and every one of his children. The temple is a...
